National Honors Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More
than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

Any student in grades 11-12 in a school that has both an official charter of and an up-to-date affiliation with the national office of the
National Honor Society, is eligible for consideration for membership in NHS (instructions for obtaining a charter or affiliation are found in the Guidance Office). All membership selection is handled through
the local school chapter.

Peer Helper

Peer Helper is an opportunity for WBHS students to work with either elementary or junior high students in the role of "special friend" or tutor. It is an after school activity, one day per week. Students who work as peer helpers at the elementary must provide their own transportation. Priority is given to junior and seniors.

Buddy Program

Buddy Program was set up to help our incoming 7th grade students transition into a new school environment by giving them a high school buddy. Junior or senior students are paired up with a 7th grader and partake in activities throughout the year to build strong bonds with each other and within the community. Activities may include: bingo at the Williams Bay Care Center, holiday cards for the troops, lunch with your buddy and other fun adventures!
