ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR: 9/9/11

• Congratulations to the Volleyball Team for defeating Hustisford in three straight games last night.
• Congrats to the Girls Tennis team for beating East Troy 5 – 2 yesterday.
• There will be a student council meeting in the Board Room today during lunch.
• The Village has notified the school that they will begin work on East Geneva St. which is the beach front road on Sept. 19th.  You should plan an alternate route to school now to see what addition time will be need to get to school on time.
• Good luck to the Varsity Football team who travel to Fall River tonight.  The game starts at 7:00.
• Good Luck also to the Volleyball team how travel to Elkhorn tomorrow morning.  Games start at 9:00am
• The Lake Geneva Marathon is tomorrow morning.  Registration will be this afternoon and Saturday morning right here in the Williams Bay Commons.
• The Generals Semi-pro Football team will be playing here tomorrow night at 7:00pm
• We will have the years 1st pep-assembly today at 2:15.  The classes 6,7, and 8 are all shortened.
• The girls Golf team is looking for another member or two.  Anyone interested should see Mrs. Quinn.
• Registration has begun for the Fall ACT prep course.  Sign up in the Guidance Office this week to reserve a spot.  The deadline for registration is Monday. This course is available to all juniors and seniors for more information please see Mrs. Williamson.
• The Buddy Program sign-up is in the Guidance Office.  We need juniors and seniors willing to be OUTSTANDING mentors for our new 7th grade class!
•  NEVER FORGET!  Attend the Village of Williams Bay September 11th Attack on America Memorial Service this Sunday September 11th at 2:00pm at the Williams Bay Village Hall. All History Club members are asked to attend.
• I ask that we have a moment of silence to remember those who lost their life in the tragic events of 9/11.

• Yearbooks will be distributed during lunch tomorrow in the library.  8th graders can pick up their books during JH lunch and HS students during high school lunch.  If you didn’t purchase a book last year and want to buy one on Friday, the price is $50.

The Girls Tennis team who are home against East Troy.  Play starts at 4:30pm
The Girls Swim team who travel to Burlington.  The meet starts at 6:00 pm
The Cross Country team who travel to East Troy.  The CC participants will need to be excused at 2:15 to catch the bus.

• A reminder to all students who are dropped off in the morning in front of school.  Please stay out of the designated bus areas.
• ACT PREP CLASS  Registration has begun for the Fall ACT prep course.  Sign up in the Guidance Office this week to reserve a spot.  The deadline for registration is Monday, September 12th but it may close earlier based on student demand. ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR: 9/6/11

• Welcome Back!  We are looking forward to a great year.
• Congratulations to the Volleyball Team for defeating Rio at their home opener and then winning at Abundant Life H.S. this last week.  The JV team also defeated Abundant Life. 
• Congrats to the CC team competed in its first meet on Sept. 1st for our first ever full team in Williams Bay Cross Country history.  For the Girls, out of 15 teams entered in the meet we finished 12th overall.  For the Boys they placed 10th overall.  Alyssa Alheid was our top performer in the meet earning the first ever individual medal for the Bay. She placed 15th overall in a time of 18:52.36.
• Congrats to the Tennis team who defeated Wilmot on Friday last week 4 to 3.  Lauren Spears won at the #3 singles spot.
• Sign up for Junior high Flag Football and Junior High Volleyball are in the office today
