Hello, my name is Marisa Steppke and I am beyond excited to be a member of the teaching staff here at Williams Bay Elementary School, and an official Bulldog! I grew up in Colorado, where I met my husband Todd, who is originally from Wisconsin. We married in 1997 and in 1999 we moved to Wisconsin and raised our amazing children Anna and Nick in Montello, which is about an hour north of Madison. Currently, we are enjoying life in Lake Geneva. I received my B.A. degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado, and then my teaching certification from Western Governors University in 2006. I strongly believe in the importance of continually growing and learning as an educator, so in 2014 I embarked on a reflective journey and became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. I began my teaching career in 2006 in Wautoma, Wisconsin, teaching 2nd grade for 12 years. During the 2018-2019 school year, I taught 4th grade at Trevor Wilmot, and now am beginning my 3rd year here in Williams Bay (Best school ever!). I am so honored to be your child's teacher. I believe that every child is special and unique, and that learning should be fun, as well as challenging. |
