Welcome Back

Williams Bay High School Alumni

WHEN:  1/5/2018 12:45 – 1:15 School Board

1:15 – 2:00 Class of 2018

2:00 - 2:45 with classes of 2019 and 2020

2:55 - 3:15 with Faculty

WHERE:  Lecture Center and gym with high school students.  Board Room for Faculty and Board Members.

WHY:  Share your life after high school experiences with those about to join the life after high school club.  Anything you have to offer to help smooth out the transition?

We want to keep the format as informal as possible to encourage questions and participation by the students.  The only ground rule we have is that criticism, if offered, is constructive and that we not use teacher's names.  We do want to know how our programs at Williams Bay have helped or need to be improved.

Here are some past suggested topics to help get our discussion moving:

  • In the last two years, what did I do right and what would I do differently in regard to the college selection process?

  • In the last two years, what did I do right and what would I do differently in regard to prepping for college or life after high school?

  • What courses or experiences at WBHS helped most to prepare me for life after high school?

  • The most difficult adjustment I have had to make was...

  • Was there any adjustment that you thought was going to be hard that turned out to be easier than expected?

  • Papers... how many, how long, what kind?

  • Reading... how much?

  • Homework?

  • How many hours a week do I have to study?

  • Tests...essay...multiple choice ...length?

  • Computers?

  • Advice to seniors in high school entering their last semester...

Thank you for sharing your ideas and experiences.
