Breakfast ends at 8:25. Students must be at school by 8:20 if they want to eat.

PTO Meeting Sept. 21 at 6:00

When there are changes to pick up/bus for your child, please communicate with the teacher and the office staff.

Referendum Fact of the Week!

Let’s break it down! These are the key points of the referendum:
  1. The November referendum continues the spirit of the 2024 Referendum for an additional 4 years.
  2. EVEN WITH a successful referendum, the District’s tax bill is projected to continue to drop.  
  3. The District isn’t asking for new, additional money.  This authorization is the only way the District can levy the same amount as last year.  It removes the forced drop in revenue.
  4. The District will only levy what it needs up to the referendum max.  We promise to live within our means and keep unneeded tax dollars in the wallets of our property owners!

Important Safety Reminders

  • Stay in your lane when dropping off students,  and please be patient
  • Please use the crosswalk (with or without your child)
  • Please do not get out of your vehicle (if your child needs assistance, please park in the parking lot and escort through the crosswalk)
  • Please have your child exit to the sidewalk
  • Please pull all the way forward
  • Please do not park in the handicap space (unless you have proper stickers) 
  • Please stay off your cell phone

Upcoming Presentation on Emotional Regulation

Please see the flyer below for a 2 session presentation by Dr. Mervin Langley of Aurora Behavioral Health on October 15 and 22, 2026, on Emotional Regulation.

SESSION 1:  THURSDAY October 15, 2026 from 6-7:30pm
Understanding Emotional Dysregulation and the First Steps in Developing Emotional Regulation
  • Understand ADHD, ODD, and executive functioning 
  • Learn science-based methods to boost your child’s self-control and executive functioning
  • Understand unique concerns for girls with ADHD/ODD and the importance of early intervention

Pre-registration is required, whether you are attending in-person or through the livestream option that is being offered.  
The in-person viewing will be held at the Burlington Area School District Office, Large Conference Room, located at 209 Wainwright Avenue, in Burlington.  
Pre-registration is required for material hand-out preparation for those attending in-person, as well as to send the livestream link to those attending virtually and a google folder of the materials.
This presentation is for adults only.  Child care is not available for those who attend in-person.

New Visitor System

We have a new visitor system this year. Please remember to bring your drivers license or ID to check in and receive a badge. We will use this system for the day to day visitors, volunteers, and Stay & Play. You can also use this QR code to sign in with your phone before you arrive. A visitor badge will be waitng for you on the counter.

5th Grade Band Rental Night

Free Senior Citizens Athletic/Activities Passes

To obtain a free senior citizens pass you must be 60 years of age or older, and a resident of the Williams Bay School District or a nonresident grandparent of a current Williams Bay School District student.

PBIS Building and Classroom Expectations

What is PBIS?
  • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is a proactive systems approach to establishing the behavior supports and social culture needed for all students to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.
Why PBIS?
  • At Williams Bay Elementary School, we are using PBIS as a process for creating a safer and more effective school. PBIS focuses on improving a school’s ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students.
The purpose of implementing PBIS at Williams Bay Elementary School is to:
  • establish a consistent method of addressing student behaviors
  • reward/acknowledge children for appropriate behaviors
  • decrease off-task behavior
  • increase and gain back instructional minutes
  • improve our school’s ability to teach positive behavior for all students in all settings
Ways to Help at Home
• Talk to your child about his/her day • Keep communication between you and your child’s teacher active throughout the year • Focus on the positive choices your child is making
• Find ways to practice positive behavior and expectations at home and in community • Teach your children to speak respectfully to others and to use manners • Practice positive phrases with your child such as: thank you, please, excuse me, and I’m sorry
Classroom Expectations: These are general. Teachers will also collaborate with students to develop classroom expectations specific to their classroom.
Building Expectations: If your child is moved to another table at lunch, please talk to your child about what caused them to be moved.
